DESCRIPTION:
EUGENE, Ore.- FOOD for Lane County made its first delivery in a new Subaru Outback last month. The car was a gift from Subaru, part of their Subaru Loves to Help program. They donated 50 cars to Meals on Wheels programs across the country. FOOD For Lane County was the only chapter selected in Oregon. Subaru chose FOOD For Lane County based on the number of people a new car would help serve. It is expected to increase deliveries by 30 people per month, bringing the total monthly count to almost 500.
