4,000 mile bike ride nears completion
SOURCE:Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption
DESCRIPTION:
Ed Anderson has endured it all. From flat tires to a trip to the ER, but the Wendy’s Franchisee who owns restaurants in the Virginia Beach area is on a mission. Anderson is riding his bike 4,000 miles across the country to raise $1 million and awareness for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The Foundation furnishes grants to adoption agencies across the country to employ adoption recruiters who find homes for children who have been in foster care the longest.
Anderson started the journey on July 27 in Virginia Beach, by dipping the back wheel of his bike in the Atlantic Ocean. He will end the trip on October 4 by riding into the Pacific Ocean in San Diego.
It’s not too late to help support children in foster care and Ed’s ride by making a donation. No amount is too small for children who are waiting for their forever homes.
